The Nightrunners by Joe R. Lansdale

This was my first Lansdale novel, and I can happily state that it surely won't be my last. I found it hard to put the book down for too terribly long, and managed to get through it in 5 days (record time for me lately). Edge of your seat action. This is the story of a group of teens bent on rampage. They rape a woman, their leader gets caught and thrown in jail where he hangs himself. The rest of the gang are determined to get "revenge" and follow the woman and her husband to a cabin in Northeast Texas. Lots of blood and guts in this one, especially when you consider the book was written in 1984. I just loved the ending (ok, I loved the whole thing, but that was the icing on the cake). Loads of fun. Time to take this back to the library as I see online that someone else has a hold on this, the only copy in town, so hope they enjoy it as much as I did!
